Academy (8U-10U)

Program Overview

The Bavarian Academy Program is designed specifically to progress boys and girls, age groups 8U thru 10U[see table] through the foundational stage of technical development in a fun atmosphere that does not focus on winning as a measure of success. The Academy's emphasis is on training in the basic building blocks of the game (1v1, 2v1, 2v2, etc.). Passion and experimentation are strongly
encouraged. Once admitted, players are welcome to participate for the entire 8U thru 10U curriculum.

Coaching

The Academy Program is coordinated by Kyle Zenoni.  Kyle oversees all 8U thru 10U teams to ensure a consistency and development in training.  Don't hesitate to contact Kyle with any questions.

Teams

Technical development is fluid and changes rapidly at this stage of development. Teams are formed after the first 2 weeks of practice, following coach evaluation.  Coaches are constantly reevaluating and can reassign players throughout the year.

One Academy practice session each week is conducted as a "pool." This is done to allow players to train with multiple coaches and  players. The second weekly practice session is conducted with your player's assigned team in preparation for the weekend's game(s).

Champion's League
Similar to Soccer in the Park, each November, players are given an opportunity to participate in Champion's League for no additional fee. This is a FUN "free play" environment for players to develop and self regulate in a small sided game setting without coach direction. Talent is evenly distributed across teams and players are free to express themselves with fear of failure.
